Napoleon Sports & Casino supports and raises awareness for local sports teams with new campaign

Napoleon Sports & Casino is known in the Belgian sports world as a shirt partner of Soudal – Quick.Step Pro Cycling Team, SV Zulte Waregem and Cercle Brugge. These partnerships were already used in the past to highlight their responsible gaming initiatives. They are now extending this to the regional level. 100 local sports teams receive new shirts for free. Each shirt will feature the message Always Keep Control, the well-known preventive message of the Belgian gaming provider.

Including Remco Evenepoel’s team, Napoleon Sports & Casino sponsors world-class talent, but it also wants to fully support local talent. It is therefore launching a campaign where local sports teams can apply to get new shirts for their team.

Teams that choose to play with the Napoleon Sports logo on their chest  – like SV Zulte Waregem or Cercle Brugge – will receive the shirts for free. CEO Eamonn O’Loughlin explains: “Thanks to this campaign, we are equipping 100 local teams and support their ambitions. With the budget they save for the shirts, they can invest in other aspects to optimise their functioning.”

Teams can also add their existing or new sponsors on the shirt, but one spot on the shirt is reserved: “At the top of the back will be the preventive message ALWAYS KEEP CONTROL. That is our only condition”, O’Loughlin continues. “Responsible gaming is an absolute priority for Napoleon Sports & Casino. Gambling is a unique, exciting form of entertainment, but it is important to keep your playing behaviour under control.”

The Always Keep Control message previously appeared for one match on the shirts of SV Zulte Waregem and Cercle Brugge. Tom Boonen was also engaged by Napoleon to spread this preventive message to the general public. “Every team will receive info on what they can do if they suspect problematic playing behaviour among teammates. It is with great enthusiasm that we want to support local teams thanks to the new shirts, but only if we can actively contribute to responsible gaming in this way.”
